Bookstaken provides 1:1 reading mentorship services for students aged 6–14 (Grades 1–8). Our platform facilitates mentorship sessions, reading assessments, and progress tracking through our website, platform, and communication tools including WhatsApp Business and Google Meet.

All mentor communication must occur through approved Bookstaken systems or staff. Violation of this clause may result in immediate account termination and may expose you to legal liability.
Bookstaken takes children's safety seriously. All mentors are vetted students from Tier 1 institutions (e.g., VNIT Nagpur, St. Xavier's Mumbai) and trained in child-appropriate communication. All sessions occur on recorded Zoom or Google Meet calls.

Legal Remedies: Unauthorised scraping of this Site constitutes unauthorised access to a computer resource under Section 43 and Section 66 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 (India), and may also constitute misappropriation of trade secrets or confidential information. Bookstaken's services are designed to support a child's reading development and love for books. Results vary based on individual engagement, consistency, and learning needs. We do not guarantee specific academic outcomes, reading level improvements, or examination results.
Our platform and all content are provided on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Bookstaken excludes all representations, warranties, and conditions relating to accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose.

Our total aggregate liability to any user for any claim arising from use of the service shall not exceed the total fees paid by that user in the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 (as amended), the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Step 1 — Informal Resolution: In the event of any dispute, both parties agree to first attempt resolution informally by contacting support@bookstaken.com. Bookstaken will respond within 14 business days.
Step 2 — Arbitration: If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (India). Arbitration shall be conducted in English, seated in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India.
Step 3 — Consumer Forum: For disputes involving amounts under ₹1,00,000, either party may alternatively approach the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
The courts of Nagpur, Maharashtra, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction for all matters not resolved through arbitration, and for all emergency or injunctive relief applications.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via email or WhatsApp before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
